Thread Question:

Running Battlefield two on AMD 4200x2 and Nvidia 6800Gs. System will not run B2 past the login screen and map slect when it goes to the game in progress hangs. Found if I reflash the BIOS and restart it will run. If I shutdown from that and reboot same problem again.

I am on my second mother board but this seems like a software confilct?

I dont think this problem has anything with your BIOS. Look for My Documents/Battlefield 2/####/Maplist.con file and check if this is read only, if not remove it.

Create a BF2 shortcut on your desktop, and modify it's target to something like this: "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +dedicated +ai 1 +gameMode sp1 +loadLevel gulf_of_oman

hi, many people had been complaining about bf2 causing lot of problems with them. I believe since your case is loading maps, did you scandisk your hardware. use chkdsk to scan your harddisk. let me know if this works.
