Thread Question:

I have been playing doom 3 and Doom 3 ROE when i load up and play doom 3 i play it for about five minutes then it crashes and goes back to desktop and there is no error or anything. It never happened to me before but I reformatted my harddrive and now this problem. In doom 3 ROE it crashes about 5 minutes into gameplay or when i defeat a boos ti gives nop error or anything i have all updates and my drivers are all up to date.

my PC specs:

2.7 GHZ processor
512 mb of ram
NVidia Geforce FX 5200
resoulution on desktop 1024x768
resolution for game 640x480 and on min settings
Windows 2000 sp4
video bus agp 8x
video ram 128 mb
direct X 9.0c o

The most likely problem for some crashes that occur in the middle of the game is file corruption. Say you have copied corrupted file or the cd may be damaged. Usually these file are are BIG ones a small scratch could cause that big file faulty, which leads to crashes in the middle of the game. The second possibility could be your backround programs. so you need to disable them
