Thread Question:

Im running an ATI 9200 SE edition and i know its not supported by BF2 but my friend has the exact same card and has 0 problems. Ive tried changing the APG to 4x instead of 8x and tried switching my catalyst to 5.5 version. Everything works in starting the game but after about 5-10 of online game play the whole program crashes. No error messages, nothing. Just back to windows.

Any ideas anyone?

You are absolutely right that eventhough ATI Radeon 9200SE does not officially support BF2 the game runs fine after some tuning. It worked perfectly with me without any crashes.

Since you are saying that it crashes in 5-10 mins of online game game play, it think some problem might be with directx network support. did you check with that?

I've heard that there is a incombability with VIA K8T800 chipset and Radeon cards. I have a AIW9800 and K8V-X and I had the same problem. Try updating to Dhzeropoint 6.5 driver and make sure fast write is off. Also, your destop settings has to be the same as your video configuation in BF2. This helped my to play for 3 to 4 hours, but I still get the restart sometimes. If anyone knows another way to solve this please help!
